Short Term Trips
Short Term Mission Trips
Our mission begins with making evident God’s grace and perfect love for orphans in Kenya. We can partly accomplish this through our commitment to clothe, feed, shelter and educate them. But there is also a time to GO. There is a time to demonstrate His perfect love through individuals that will travel thousands of miles just to meet them, share a meal together, read a story to them, play with them, pray for them and support them in an environment of family and community.
At PROJECT 82, we have also come to know and believe that God uses these precious orphans to minister to the hearts of the very ones who came to serve them and as a result…hearts are transformed and aligned to His. If you are interested in joining us on a short term trip in 2012, please provide your contact information below. A PROJECT 82 representative will contact you within 48 hours.

Please also view the CDC’s travel information for Kenya here http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/kenya.htm The recommended vaccinations are Tetanus, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Yellow Fever and Typhoid. You should start taking a prescribed Antimalarial Drug prior to and during travel to Kenya and carry a prescription with you for travelers diarrhea. You should apply sunscreen daily as well as an insect repellant that contains 30% DEET.
You will receive a trip booklet with more detailed information after registering for a PROJECT 82 Short Term Mission Trip. As you prepare to travel, we ask that you plan to dress conservatively. For men, we suggest Khaki pants or cargo pants, shorts are acceptable during construction days, Polo shirts or t-shirts that do not contain suggestive messages, a collared shirt with khaki or dress pants for attending church. For women, we suggest long skirts/dresses (below the knee) and mid-calf capris, modest blouses and t-shirts (no halters or tank tops please). Shoes should be comfortable for walking long distances. A light jacket or sweater is also nice to have as it is typically cooler in the morning and evening.
