“I eagerly anticipated meeting the children of Kenya, but it was so much more than I imagined. They are loving, open, happy, polite, curious and eager to learn. I experienced unconditional love. Being with them was heart-warming and heart-breaking. These children will always be in my heart.”

- Kay Griffin, short-term missioner

Caleb's Story

Caleb was the first baby admitted to Neema House in 2012. Caleb’s unwell mother quickly became part of our family too, and we were honored to get her the treatment to thrive.

Six years after we initially took Caleb in and began searching for other relatives, his mom suddenly remembered the names and locations of several family members. As we were traveling to a remote area of Kenya in hope of locating her family, Caleb’s mom recognized the man we stopped to ask directions as her uncle. Her relatives, who had not seen her since she was a teenager, were overjoyed to see her and meet Caleb.

Today, Caleb is proud to be happily living with his extended family, and we are thankful that God made this possible.
